A price on a map tells you where things stand. A daily history chart helps you understand how they got there. Each point is one collection on that day; days we did not collect are left as gaps, never filled in.

Good questions.
Clear answers.

A comparison tool should make things simpler. Here’s what to expect from ForecourtIQ.

Are these live prices?

No. ForecourtIQ collects prices once a day, at about 06:00 UK time, and stores each day’s observation. Every price shows when it was collected and, where the source says, when the station last changed or reported it. Prices can change during the day, so check at the pump.

Which stations are included?

Available stations from our data source. Some stations may be missing. A station missing from one day’s data is not treated as closed: its last collected price stays visible with its original date.

What happens when a day is missing?

A missed collection leaves a gap in the history. ForecourtIQ will not turn today’s prices into invented historical data. Unchanged prices are still recorded each day they are observed.

Does a falling graph predict tomorrow’s price?

No. History shows the observations already collected. It does not forecast future prices or guarantee the price you will find at the pump.

Will it work on my phone? Can I install it?

Yes, it is a responsive website for phones and computers. Where your browser supports it you can also install it: in Chrome or Edge, use Install in the address bar or browser menu; in Safari on iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Some browsers, such as Firefox on desktop, do not install websites as apps.

How is a saving worked out?

(Comparison price − chosen price) × litres. For the same grade, 145.9p versus 139.9p per litre over 50 litres is £3.00, before any extra travel. It is an example, not a guaranteed saving.
